...Still Stealing Stem Covers!!

YEP!!!

I guess its still cool to steal "Chromies" and "Covers" off nice cars. It's funny because the idea must get passed on from trailerpark generation to generation and now its back around.

Damn!!!! Walked out this morning and noticed 2 caps were missing from the rear rims. If I catch one of these tools, I will amputate one finger for each cap they take.

I now have to track down another
set of brushed stainless steel caps that
matched the stock rims perfectly. Oh well, just
wanted to throw that out!

grrrrrr- what a pain in the ass.

Yeah, those "Acura" logo caps are nice, but I'm going to try and
find a set non- bling, blingers. I like the brushed metal look.

If you find a place post it. I'm looking for similar since my first ones got ganked.

So far no go so I just went with some "close" chrome ones.

Ok, ok..........
nothing personal for those individuals who live
in a mobile home or live in mobile home communities.

I think the issue here is the parents who can't seem to teach their children that its wrong to steal from others for their own gain. What has happened to Morals and Values?

Part of growing up is breaking the rules IMO. I used to do some silly shit when I was younger but I grew out of it I think that's the key. Some of the most boring people I know lived life too strait.

Yeah, but having close family ties and parent lessons help
develop a sense security for kids so they will not
have to lash out for attention, i.e. stealing, killing, etc.

NO doubt that boys will be boys, but there has to be some
kind of “base” foundation that parents can build for kids growing
up in today’s society. In other words, understanding the basics of
right and wrong. That’s all.

Breaking the rules is one thing but "stealing" is something completely different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

It can't be justified unless you are doing to feed yourself or for another social/political reason!!

This is the same mentality of top execs at Enron, WorldComm and a host of other greedy pieces of shit .

Ok so when I was a kid I stole a magazine from Electronics Boutique does that make me a criminal? Tell me that now Zapata, 15 years later, the dumb shit you do as a kid does not always mean you turn out to be a criminal for life. You guys judge 12 year old kids with the same measure as 22 year old punks who are going down the wrong path in life. I grew up going to a Catholic Grammar and High School, alter boy for 4 years, tell me, am I an enron exec?

1. We all have a different opinion on what kind of people we hang out with.

2. We form different opinions on what is a good time, what is fun, and what is boring.

3. We've all grown up different ways I won't judge yours as much as I respect you don't judge mine and you havent btw

Criminal, yes you are. Is it a big deal? Well, it all depends on what you look at it. You were lucky enought to have some luck and smarts on your side so you have nice job and a good car. Other kids aren't that lucky or don't have good parents to teach them right from wrong. Some don't see the difference between pulling a prank, just acting crazy and crime.

I've done plenty of small things and couple of big things that could've had me locked up. I did them when i was young and stupid of course. However, I paid the price for what i did and learned my lesson. 12yr old kids TPing a house, playing ring and run etc., is ok but stealing shit, especially valve covers is completely different. You response seems to say that's it's OK. It's never OK. What they did, you did and I did was wrong. It may have not done any harm in the long run but it was still wrong.

How can you say that being a Catholic Grammar and High School, alter boy for 4 years makes you, just like Soopa, defending the trailerpark comment, any different?..............hummmmm

If you steal, you steal!! its doesn't matter.

Nothing, foundation was questioned, upbringing, well that's where I'm coming from. I'm primarily non-practicing right now but I'm being a good boy.

get new, real blingy ones and setup shop in a local tree or in your window and wait for them to steal it again. It might take the whole weekend, but it will be perfect once you catch them. But kids are kids man, it pisses us off with the shit they do, but you will have kids one day and no matter how "good" you raise them, they will have friends that will pressure them. Little kids are pressured easily by friends. am sure that most of you weren't saints when you were growing up. Neither was i. I never stole a valve stem cap, but i did some bad things. I was raised right and caught a severewhipping if i was caught doing anything wrong. The problem with society today is that people want kids to grow up so fast, no one has patience for a kid to be a kid anymore these days. Don't judge a child as an adult, you will have kids of your own too someday.

I stole em !!!!

Well, I'm not sure what neighborhoods yall grew up in, but mine lacked the neighbor and the s, it was just the HOOD! I'n the hood, we did shit like that. I only had to do it once, because once you had chromes (as we called them) their was no need to do it again. We didn't think shit off it, as was said earlier, IT WAS JUST A DAMN CAP!
When I read the first post it bought a smile to face as I remembered childhood: hide and go get it, red light green light, a sandwich bag full of sugar and a kool aid packet, riding bikes around the hood and popping wheelies off of driveway curbs, steeling chromes to make our bikes look better.... O' the memories!

Don't be mad if you grew up in the Burbs and everyone parked their cars in locked garages
Don't be mad if you didn't play hide and go get it
Don't be mad if you had to steel magazines out of electronics stores <-- what kinda shit was that anyway?

Personally I don't think they were kids that stold your valve stems.....it was probably their dad driving that pos van with the bling bling valve stems

by the way look into valve stems that cannot be removed without a special tool. I saw them in a rim store where I bought my tires the only reason I didn't buy them b/c didn't have Acura.
