Probably the throttle body plate gumming up.

Best way to check to see if it's indeed the plate -- pop the hood and locate the throttle body (there are two; it's the one closer to the engine).

Pull back on the plate control mechanism by hand and see if you can feel it getting sticky/stuck. If that's the problem, then you can do one of two things --

1. Do it the proper way and take off the throttle body assembly to thoroughly clean it. This will take some time, some tools, and involves leaking coolant.

2. If you don't want to do that, then I suppose you could just take off the intake sleeve to the throttle body and run the engine while spraying some carb cleaner in there.

I would personally recommend route no.1, IF it's the plate gumming up and getting sticky.

Clean your TB or apply graphite to your TB line. Do #1 1st like Pure Adrenaline said.

This will randomly happen to me in the cold or after a couple days of not driving. I have never worried about it enough to consider fixing it.

It may sound stupid but check to see if you cruise control is still on, every time mine does that it's the cruise control. Otherwise it's the throttle body.

Get a hold of a copy of TSB 04-035 (Fuel System- Accelerator Pedal is Hard to Press) from the dealer.

It addresses the common problem you stated by replacing the throttle body with a new updated part to fix this issue. The TSB states that it is related to contamination from high humidity and salt.....if I remember correctly.

Since it looks like you are from FL, it would apply to you. If you are still under warranty = free. Not under warranty = maybe free via goodwill. Work with your dealer.

Hope this helps!

Its not the cruise control.
I dont think the TB is dirty cause i cleaned it pretty good when i installed the ThermoB spacers. Thats was about 3 months ago
Should i try the graphite?
I'm outta warranty, so i would have to buy a new TB? How much is that?
Thanks
