13.9...OUCH. Plz tell me that u were running on full interior. Gut the car (trunk too, of course) , get those 60' down to 2.0 and u'll see 13.5-13.7 easily . I've been too FKin busy to beat S Fla's 13.5 time, on N2O. I mean shit I've just got an M Coupe that needs work. I ordered my Kevlar Clutch, Upgraded pressure plate (420Tq holding capacity) , and Lightweight Flywheel. Although I will say one thing...

I'm hungry...very hungry...I'm so FKin hungry...I haven't eaten in 2 weeks...I...I don't have a bed anymore, because I pawned it to buy clear corners for the M...I've been having to wipe my ass with newspaper...hmmmm Shhhhort Shhhhifter Kiiiiit...NO NO...I must destroy the evil one...must destroy VISA Card...must...

The way I've been able to spin my Toyos Mantis would have taken a half life out of them.

I've got just over 1yr on mine and they may last me until May. So I'll be looking for another tire as well. $185-190 is too much for my blood lasting only 18mos.

they are worth it in terms of stickiness, but the longevity/price is the main concern.

What, Mantis said. They are stickier than 90% of the tires out there, but then you have a worse problem. Those that are stickier have a treadwear rating of 200 or less. So they'll wear out even faster.

It's a trade-off with price and tire wear.

Of course the OEM piggies lasted about as long as the Toyos will probably last.

Not sure what I'll go back with right now, but I'm leaning to the Federal SS-595. They look like similar to the Toyos and have a 240 tread wear rating, but they are $100 less per tire.

that STi trap is way low...should be at least 100 mph...he is low on power. His launch isn't too good either, if he could pull a 1.8-1.9 60 ft, he would be close to .5 seconds faster.

Hearing about this STi running 14 second ETs reminds of this guy @ Etown that runs a consistent 17 second ET with his ITR.

Which Toyo tires are you guys talking about? The T1-S line has a treadwear rating of 280 according to their website.

Damn those Scoobies sure do launch like a bat outta hell.

hey nice run..... well i have to give you a big thumbs up.... yes, people will bla bla bla, that STi cant drive.... Well, a race is a race, lost is a lost, who cares if the person knows how to drive... so whoever said 13.1-13.2... well, too bad... you won, thats all it matter.... i think whoever bla saying, my car is faster than yours... Well, i would say... too bad you waste your car...

Anyway, i have several questions tho...

#1, did you spray in 1st, or when did you star spray? and you just floor it all the way while you were spraying? or you let go when gear changes?

#2, how does your tranny handle your big shot? I wanted to get them, but the ONLY thing stopping me was the tranny issue... tell me more about it and stuff! please

Thanks!

We are talking about the T1-S, and those meaning tires that are stickier than the T1-S will have a lower treadwear rating. To get a noticable difference you will proabaly need to go with a 200 or less treadwear. That's what I ment.

1 - I tried to spray out of the hole in first, but completly melted the tires. Spun straight through 1st & 2nd, didn't hook up till 3rd. after that, I just waited till I got to 3K-4K RPM, in first and then hit the juice. As long as I'm at WOT, the juice is on, it doesn't turn off between gear changes, although I may change that with an MSD ignition switch.

2 - So far the tranny is holding up. The key is to use, not abuse the N20. I don't spray all day every day, only when someone bugs me for a race, or if I'm at the track.
