Lately when I press the volume up on my steering wheel controls, the station will jump to my next preset or when in CD mode, the next track will start instead of the volume going up. This is not an exact science as 90% of the time I would say it works fine.

Anyone ever experienced this? Would it be difficult to replace the radio controls on the steering wheel?

 

Yeah common problem. There's a TSB on it. It requires dimples being made on the metal ring around the steering wheel. I'm not sure if anyone has attempted to fix it themselves. Most were covered under warranty.
The steering wheel needs to be pulled.

 

Perfect opportunity to put the wood wheel in.
