stereo controls on steering wheel
Whazup Yall
I'm having a (intermitted) problem with my stereo buttons on my steering wheel. Sometimes when I press the 'volume up' button my CD will go to the next track and more recently when I pressed the 'volume down' button the volume went up. Anybody have any advise before I have my car sit at the dealer for hours just to here "we could'nt find anything."

I THINK I know what's WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
If it has happened recently, think COLD weather, or drastic temperature fluctuation...
Okay, now think about this, each of those buttons has a different "signal" in the form of different resistance (measured in OHMs).
NOW think about this, when temperature changes, THINGS begin to contract/expand and that WILL cause TEMPORARY changes in RESISTANCE or other operations.
TELL THAT TO the Acura dealer and TELL them that YOU are sick of this BECAUSE
it happens many times per week.

The same thing happened to me...
I have an identical problem that the dealer did nothing about because we couldn't reproduce it when I took my car in. In fact, sometimes when I turn my wheel the volume has gone up or down (although this is rare).
I spoke with the technician about it and he said that it has something to do with something in the steering column (I know that's somewhat ambiguous) and mentioned that he has seen a similar problem with other Acura models. He recommended trying to reproduce the problem while turning the steering wheel (or putting it in different positions).
I have not had any problems since it got cold here, so some of the speculation about temperature may be right.
