stepping up the quality

So I finally got tired of the CL tranny nightmare. I bought a 2002 RL with 22,000 miles on it for 24,000. This thing dominates the CL. When I got my tranny replaced 2 months ago, they robbed me of the power it once had. The RL feels to have the same power, but 3 times the luxury. Handling is superior to the CL, so is the ride quality and cabin noise. The car is more spacious and comfortable. The sad thing is.. I only got 14000 (which was KBB value) for the car. A car that started out around 30000 thousand and I Bought for 24,000 2 years ago only fetches 14000 now.

I won't make that mistake again, RL here I come.. peace y'all. I'll still be on the boards, but bouncin' around to the RL forums here and there.

Bottom line, if Acura would clean up this tranny mess with the CL and TL, I would have stayed with the CL. I'm sure I'm not alone...

RL is nice but I can’t agree with this comment.

makes me almost sick as well. second tranny feels good, but so did the first right up until it died. I will have to get rid of before the warranty is up, which is a damn shame

Nah I was on number 2, that was enough for me. I want a car I can buy and hold for a long time and that's definitely NOT the CL.

It makes me sick too that I had to spend a bunch of money on a car and then sell it 2 years later, but I'm loving the RL.

Now all you need is a big hat and go to early bird dinners.
