Steering Rack- Better Response
Steering Rack- Better Response
I just got my car back today and I was noticing that there is a little bit of play in my steering especially after driving my 08 TL for so long without driving the CL. Its nothing big but it feels a little wavey in comparison.
I have all upgraded steering components (sway links and tie rods) so I know that is not the issue for the loose feel.
Now would a new steering rack help me get back that lost tightness that comes with a new car.
My CL has 162k miles on it and runs perfect, this is just one small thing I was wondering.
So is it worth it to spend my $250 on this or not?

With that many miles it's a good bet the steering rack is worn. But a replacement would be $. I had to do it in an accord, & it was like $800. Not sure where your getting the $250 from.
My fault $300 and hopefully it should just be a direct replacement.. I don't have a helms manual so I have no idea how long this job might take on the CL.
Last time I did this job was 10 years ago on my 1987 Dodge Shadow 2.2 turbo, I loved that car. And I digress, sorry bout that.
