Steering fluid question...
ok, I checked my steering fluid, and it's at the lowest level STILL SAFE, but on the low end.
How often does this particular fluid need to be topped off?
Also,
Will it cause any harm if its low? Cuz I'm away from home cuz of my job until Thanksgiving time.
What kinda steering fluid can I use? Strictly Honda, right? can this be purchased at a honda dealership.? or ONLY acura?

you should NEVER need to add or even check power steering fluid.......for alteast 100k anyway. If you are losing fluid you have a problem,,,,some sort of leak probably. I assume your CLs is still under warranty? ....take to Acura and let them deal with it.

mine actually started to leak only at high speeds but it was a very slow leak. turned out my steering rack was leaking. after that was replaced my fluid has been just under the high indicator consistently. there's no reason to be losing sterring fluid. and yes if it goes down too low it will damage ur steering components and u may possibly lose power steering assistance. most parts stores also sell hinda steering fluid as well

its got to be leaking then. I haven't seen any fluid on the plastic casing that the fluid is in, but there's no other reason as to why it would be low.
I will get it checked out ASAP!
