SSP Silicone Wipers Review, Pics, Movies
Okay so I went ahead and bought these too...heck they were only $40. And knowing me I had to make some huge writeup about them. Hope you guys enjoy
. The short of it...the silicone wipers do wipe better...they do cause water to bead...and I do think they were worth the $40.
However...if you have brand new wipers I'd just wait until they were worn out before replacing them with these. These wipers will last longer versus rubber because, just like your tires age with UV light, so do your wipers, but worse because they're on your windshield. Even so...there's not some amazing improvement...wipers only wipe so much. But the silver wipers definitely accent my car much better...I thought it'd be ricey at first but now I think it looks pretty good. And it matches the forthcoming aluminum trim nicely
...so first...videos...

And of course some pics. I'm not going to bother posting too many wiping pics...I do have two that show a good difference...and of course the setup I used to test them and the new look of silver eyebrows
. As for my setup...yes I DID have to run and hop in the car and run and get out when I was changing the wiper blades...because I had no one to turn the water off for me. No, you can't laugh. I mean it.
The setup:

Pretty painless mod and yeah worth it...but not if you have brand new rubber blades IMHO. But it sure looks good
(and again...I almost had my bodyshop paint em body color).

Yes and yes and yes. They're 24" and 19". The stainless steel frames are silver...blades are black. Looks pretty sharp.
