I checked the paint code and it's SSM. I've ordered from this site before and it's legit.

No, not on our cars atleast. you just need to clean up the area with paint thinner before you put on some touch up paint.
if the paint is cracking, get a blade and cut off the paint that might flake away and then put on the touch up paint.
the best way to put touch up paint is, after cleaning, tape off the area that does not need touch up (use painter's tape), lightly put on some touch up paint, let it dry, put on another coat, let it dry. the surface has to comes out a little bit higher than original paint's surface. then get a 1500 grit sandpaper, do some light wet sanding. then take off the tape off and again do very little, light handed wetsanding to flush the edges of the touch paint with original paint.
for better finish, do a little hand of 2000 or 2500 sand paper also.
Then buff it off. This is the best possible result you can get using touch up paint.
or get a profesional to do it.
I'm not sure about the paint on the high end cars. (like 7 layer paint on lexus)
i'll have ask my painter about that.

another thing:
the only real/perfect solution to scratches that are deep enough to stop a finger nail is to repaint them.
Touch up paint will "NEVER" bring it back to the original finish. u can make it almost unnoticeable, but not perfect.
personally, i'll recommend touch up paint for minor scratches and chips, but if the scratch is big, then get it repainted.
about 99% of the painters out there cant not match the factory finish and quality.

Acura's do have some pretty good paint finish. honda's are a little bit less.
the worst paint finishes are on all american cars, they're put together in the cheapest, money saving way possible.
I find defects every time i work on them. like trash, waves, etc.
hyundai has gotten surprisingly better, almost european car quality.

CL-S 6Speed is rarely in
I agree. My paint cleans up real nice. I've seen a lot of American cars roll out of the factory with orange peel. On topic, I am having a hell of a time finding Anthracite Metallic touch-up. I used the dupli-color system on my last car and it came out really good. Anyone know where to get AM in the dupli-color system?
