Does anyone know how to reset the SRS light? I pulled the instrument panel fuse while the engine was running, dash lights went out and I was in the dark, then I put it back in and the check engine light and the SRS light came on.

After disconnecting the battery terminal and reconnecting it the check engine light went off, but the SRS light is still on.

Anyone ? Help!!

^this website tells how to reset the SRS light..if it still dont work tell me I'll find another place that will tell you.

 

Just take it to the dealer, it's under warranty. Could be the sensor in the passenger seat gone bad.

 

Guess I need a reset, or scan tool .

YOU NEED A PAPERCLIP.

I DID THIS 5 TIMES WITH NO PROBLEM...other than the fact it kept coming back on and resulted in a SRS module failure.


Do a search..you'll find a thread on this with information. Search on SRS, MikeS and paperclip and you should be good to go.

 

if that doesnt work chemmech, go to the dealer. cuz I tried everything possible to reset that SRS and didnt work. I brought to the dealer, and the changed the whole module under warranty. It's covered under the extended warranty too, in case you're not under oem warranty.

Now, my SRS is cool, haven't had any problems since I changed it.

Thanks for the help, I just reset the light. I had to use a piece of wire instead of the paper clip though .
