SRS light, again

Tried resetting the SRS last night. Found the connector (the small yellow connector above the large yellow one on the right side ofthe fuse panel) 2001 CLs. Started going through the procedure and the light does not go off after 6 seconds, tried it several times. Do I have the right connector or is the SRS system screwed? I did find that a saws-all helps, when getting to the connector location. Your help please. Thanks, Bob

Might want to take it to the dealer. The SRS light isn't something you should snuff off. There is a recall on the OPDS sensor, which may be what is causing the light to go off.

It could also be a belt buckle sensor as well. I believe those have a 10 year warranty on them.

I took mine in for the SRS because the light wasn't resetting with the srs service conector. It turned out to be the belt buckle sensor.

i fixed my srs light with the DIY found on this site and it worked after my second try. i read some where that a static shock could set off the airbag when you use a paperclip, so i just put on some latex gloves and proceeded. it worked! no more light. of course my light was turned on because i pulled the fuse (not gonna do that again!). if yours came on, and you didnt do it on purpose, then you might wanna get it checked at the dealer. if the light is on, your airbags might not go off.
