SRS Light

My '01 CL-S has an steadily illuminated SRS light. The fuse checks out OK and there are no other symtoms or lights. Is there anything obvious that I should check before I take it in for maintenance? Is there a history of SRS problems? If so, what can I expect to find?

Yes, there's a history of SRS issues...

Read this:

Thanks Mr. Monster.

I think I'll try the S/B 06-008 approach first. I'd probably singe my eyebrows if I tried the light re-set routine.

SRS was diagnosed with the following comment: "seat buckle has an inoperative sensor".

Buckle Set NH1, P/N 04816-S3M-A11ZB, has been ordered and will be installed, at Acura's expense, under the terms of the seatbelt warranty.

Cool. Quick solution.

Just FYI guys, it's not always the seat buckles, so still take your cars in to get them checked when the SRS light comes on. Better safe than sorry.

The buckle set was installed (15-20 minutes), SRS light off, car washed, smiles and hand shakes all around.
