In short the srs sensor has gone bad they gonna need to replace it on the passenger side.... If you are under 3 years / 60K will be covered.

If I bought the car with over 60K, what can I expect to pay on getting the problem fixed. I know it may be a loaded question

I was told that my Acura warranty only covered my SRS system for the first 50K miles and my extended warranty does NOT cover it at all. It sucked. It costs over $500 to fix it and they had not got the part after 2 months of me calling them so I just gave up. My light is still on.

When I asked if my sir bags would operate properly anyway, they could not give me an answer. I assume they are disabled when there is a problem with the system?

I'm hoping the same thing. My light has been on, and every once in a while, my side airbag light comes on. If it cost $500+ to fix it, I may just take my airbag fuses out and chance it

Get it checked. I had mine go twice and they changed it both times. The second time was over 50K.

The dealer where I take my car usually helps out if you bring the car in for regular maintainence... Just have a talk with ur service advisor and see what happens. They fixed mine on my request.

when i had my cl-s PAA changed out my SRS sensor about 3-4 times for no cost even though it was supposedly my headrest monitors which kept making them come on.....All depends on your dealership, also the SRS light will come on from other electronical devices like laptops ect if it is close to the sensor....
