So my car has been in and out of acura dealing with this damn insurance claim for the last 3 months and I remembered that acura actually has a fix for the squeaky sunroof (only happens when roof is closed and rubber seal is clean). I only know this cause my mom bought an 01 cl in 2002 and they fixed it using this same method. They even printed me off the TSB sheet that the acura tech would be given before doing it. gotta love having a 10 year old car and still getting free shyt.
It says on the sheet cars affected: 01-03 CL, 99-03 TL, 01-02 MDX, 02-06 RSX, 04-08 TSX
SO now there is a permanent fix.
It's basically thick one-side-sticky teflon tape. you wrap it around the roof lip where the sunroof rubber seal meets up with it and the teflon tape eliminates the squeak.
Go to your local Acura DLR and they will give it to you!!!!
just thought all my fellow Aziners should know. hopefully for lots of you this is new news

I did... it's a TSB so they should honor the service if it has never been performed.
technically they should do it. but just ask for the tape and tell them you'll do it urself and they'll likely be much more inclined that way

Dealers aren't under any requirement to take care of TSBs. Recalls yes but TSBs just tell the dealer how to correct common issues that weren't anticipated when the car was first released.
I'll drop into a local dealer and see what they say. Thanks.
