<SIGH>... so it happened... merging from 10FWY to 110FWY, raining, tried to merged into the freeway but the traffic of the freeway which I was merging into was drastically slower then my driving speed. I had no time but to break hard while I'm steering slightly to the left... w/ ASP on, tire lost traction, it started to pull to the left into the slow traffic, I didn't want to hit the cars so I pulled the steering wheel to the right, there, it spung 360, hit the center divider... luckily didn't hit any cars... drove down the freeway and check for the damage... (jaw-dropped). A crashed & lowered bumper, wrecked hood, right-side head light destroyed, right side fender bent...it was ugly...

It's not sitting in a shop waiting for the estimate. I called Acura dealer for the parts that I know that needs to be replaced, it comes out to be around $1900. w/ paint & labor..man..I don't know where it's gonna be.

I can't report this to my insurance cuz for the accident point that's going to the DMV, that'll do the job of suspending my license. SO, it's ALL gonna go outta my pocket, therefore, DEAR BELOVED CL BROTHERS!! Please help out here!!! anybody know of or had a totaled 2001 CL? I need parts desparately... I'll get the list of complete parts I'll need tomorrow and post it here, if anyone know of anything that could help, please let me know...Thanks in advance!

you're in some serious trouble. I don't know of any totaled ones good luck to you though. You could always tell the insurance that you were clipped and that is what forced you to loose traction. Just a though. maybe you could say they hit you in the same area that you hit the wall. oh well good luck.

For OEM parts call either www.ahmotors.com or call my friend mike K at Naples Acura. 1-800-79Acura and ask for Mike in the parts dept and only speak to mike. He will hook you up on parts. If you want tell him Adam from the hybrid board sent ya. I've bought a New ITR engine from him before.

I recommend that you take it to a good body shop and have them give it a serious look. Then you can get the whole list of parts, take over the priorities on repair with them and have a plan of attack.

Hmmm...your probably better off taking it to a body shop and trying to cut a deal with them. $1900 doesn't seem like that much if the damage is pretty bad. Otherwise, you can always contact HAP RECYCLING in Rancho Cordova (near Sacto) to see if they have parts.

Welp, it's $2350 for just parts alone, $1900 is the reseller's price which I could get. I just received my first estimate, which supposedly is a bodyshop that give great deals. $4550 for the whole estimate, which still has $1200 on open items that they're not sure if it needs to be replace/repair yet.

Guys, does $30 an hour for the labor sounds like a reasonable price?
