Springs with Shocks?

Just a quick question for everyone. I'm thinking about the Comptech Springs for my 2003 Cl-S 6-speed.

Question is, if I get the springs, do I have to change the shocks?
I have 27K on my car, that's right, 27K...do you think putting brand new springs on shocks with that many miles will do anything bad to the car?

Thanks for your opinions

If i could do it again, I would at least get new shocks for the front. part of the process for installing the springs is to completely remove the shocks, and it's a great time to replace the stock ones and not have to worry about them needing to be replaced anytime soon. I single out the front ones as they are a pain to swap, and replacing the rears if they need to be replaced down the line wouldn't be that bad.

Gotcha, so you're saying just do it because it would be easier than having to take them off again when they need to be replaced...But is there a technical reason for changing the shocks when you change springs?

I spend more time in my car, then I do sleeping

All my friends live at least an hour away, I had to move rural for my job for the first year, then i'm moving back to a city again.

So I travel...A LOT! But the CL-S is the best car to do it in!

Thanks for the advice, has anyone kept the stock shocks?

i´d change the shocks at the same time if i were you. saves a bit of time, and money if you´re not a do-it-yourselfer to not have to do the same work twice. i installed comptech springs at 45k and the right rear shock failed at 48.5k. i really don´t mind going thought the process again to change the shocks because i enjoy working on the car. i´m going with koni adjustables, the most frequently recommended shock on the board.
