springs

i have comptech springs on my 03 cl-s but when the 19's are on it doesn't sit low enough for me, should I switch to H&r or teins. BTW the wheels are 19X8 w/ 235/35 and a 49 or 51 offset I only rub on a big bump w/ three ppl in the car. Opinions please

H&R Sports would do the trick. Lower then the Comptech without sacraficing too much ride. Pics linked in sig....

OK..let me see if I understand you. The car IS NOT Low enough with the Comptech Drop. The tires are ALREADY rubbing, and you want it LOWER?

Sounds to me like you better get out your wallet. :P

My suggestion is to go with the lower springs. At, the same time, get your fenders rolled (professionally).

Hey Juniorbean, what is the measurement of drop from stock with your H&R springs?

Did you have to purchase springs and struts for your drop?

I am checking out my options for dropping from the stock "4X4" look and am just starting to research the subject. I don't know much at all yet, so any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks.

I didn't take any measurements myself, but H&R claims a 1.75" drop all around... which looks about right. I have about a one finger gap and with my 18's on I do not rub (+48 offset). My old 18's (+45) did rub slightly on the front tires when the wheel was turned to full lock (which wasn't often).

I did NOT buy struts... only the springs. I'm sure eventually I'll need new struts... but so far so good.
