2 local to me automotive enthusiast forums co-sponsor a spring track day at an area drag strip here. I always volunteer to assist as I'm a member of both forums. Usually, at the end of the event I try to make a couple of passes in whatever car I'm driving that day. (I change vehicles a lot throughout the year) So I made 2 passes in the CL. 1st pass was stalling it up some, then launching. 2nd pass was flashing the converter from idle. the 2nd pass was fastest be .05 so thats the time slip I kept. This is a stone stock 1998 2.3 CL, automatic. The DA that day was 3,227 feet. I'm the time on the right.

 

So here it is, October. This past Sunday was the Fall Track Day. The weather was cool so I made a couple of passes early this time. I raced a friend in his Chrysler LHS. My time is on the right. The DA Sunday was 2107 feet which I'd say accounts for atleast 2/3 of the decrease in E.T. and increase in MPH. The only mod this time is an OBX-R header.
