alright.. so i'm cruisin around with my friends (we were in a few different cars).. and we see a fuckin riced out civic hatchback..

my friends start talkin shit to him.. he claims he does a 12 or 13 second 1/4... he says he swapped out for a spoon engine-- i dont really believe him

we get to a sorta highway...-- since i'm the only one out of the group who has a fuckin normal car.. (everyone else decides to take the SUV shit) i'm the one to take him on

well there were 2 other cars takin up the other 2 lanes.. so he lines up behind me... we floor it... i keep checkin the rear view mirror and he's still behind me.. almost on my ass , but still behind me... we probably get up to about 65.. finally changes lanes and FINALLY starts pulling on me.. and is probably 2 cars lengths ahead of me by the time we get up to 85-90mph-- thats when i slowed down.. it was a 60mph or 65 zone... and that was high enough for me
you would think a 16 second 3.0 CL would not be able to stay with a 13 second spoon engine...

and thats not to say that had i kept going, that i would not have started pulling on him..

That certainly doesn't sound like you raced a 12 to 13 sec Civic. He may have done a motor swap but he wasn't running anything near what he was about.

 

Spoon engine runs like crap on pump gas.... plus a judging my what you said about his riced out car, you should tell him that just because he has a spoon valve cover, doesn't not make his engen a spoon engine.... I hate when people do sh*t like that when all they have is stock internals...

yeah, sounds like a b16 or b18 civic, but I don't think anyone really has a "spoon engine" Spoon charges like $2000 for 16 inch rims, I don't even want to know what they charge for some enigine parts, let alone a whole motor! That kid has seen too much F&F!

Sounds like it was a pretty quick civic tho if it could beat a 3.0 on the highway.

 

I can personally say that it would have been horrible b/c i've been beat by a turbo hatch that ran a 12.8 in the 1/4 and well after that i learned my lesson . Dont ever mess with it again
