Speed-sensing intermittent windshield wipers

I've read the manual, and I still can't figure out how this feature works or what it is, exactly. I'm sure it's different from the BMW incarnation...

Someone throw me a bone...?

Thanks

well when you put ur winshield wipers on the fastest intermitten speed, it would be intermitten when your driving slow, but when you speed up it would change to a faster speed and not intermitten.

DOH... I thought I had read it as the other way around; i.e. setting it as the slowest speed.

Thanks for clearing that up!

The Acura has two speeds for each delay setting. I think it doubles the delay time when you are under 20MPH (but it may be a differant speed, don't remember).

Turn on your windshield wipers to the intermittent position. Then adjust the speed to the first (fastest) level. When you are above 5-10 mph it will be as fast as the next level up, and when you slow down or stop the wipers slow down as well.

Right now I can't figure out a better way to explain it. At least I didn't tell you to use the "turney, clickie thingie."

Maria, there's nothing wrong with the "turney, clicky thing".....ok, well, other than being totally vague and useless!

You'll have to admit, though, that WAS one of the funniest posts ever on the site.

Yes, and also when the wipers are on delay if you are sitting at a stop with your foot on the brake and the car in gear, when you release your foot off the brake the wipers will make one sweep, regardless of what speed they're set at.

Man, I thought my wipers were acting crazy one day when they did this and I never got around to checking out the owners manual. Neat feature, I guess.
