Spark Plug rant

So on the mission to buy correct spark plugs, I almost got a heart attack when acura parts guy quoted me $33 a piece!!! He could not believe it either he thought it was $33 for all six. Lol

Online sources have them for $14-$19 a piece as well, and auto zone here does not carry them at all. They only have iridium with heat range of 5, which is not really ideal for Type S engine.

Went to my local supply store, Al's Automotive, where I use to buy audi spark plugs from, and got them at $9.99 a piece! laser irridium, heat range 6. Exact same part number as the one dealer sells for $33.. if I had any time I'd to over to acura and ask to speak with parts manager, that's just raping people..

Your Autozone can get them. Just request the specific part number, and they'll order it. They are around $10 each.

What year car do you have, is it a type-S, is it an Auto or Manual?

I put in ngk iridiums on my CL 2 or 3 times already... No issues. The laser iridiums are not worth it IMHO

Well if the lazer plugs can last 105k miles according to Honda, I'm going to stick with those same plugs if I don't want to touch them again until 210k.

Laser iridiums have a colder heat range then standard, therefore are more suitable for firing on an engine such as type S. I wasn't going to get into a debate whether or not everyone with Type S should use them, as it's their own car.

They were $2 a piece difference at my supplier, really wasn't worth the risk. The same reason I also use premium gas in the car. But to each is own.
