Something I find funny I was told there is no TSB for the rotors on my 01 CLS

I brake somewhat hard above 50 mph and my steering wheel vibrates alittle bit so I ask the the lady at the service department isn't there a TSB for the rotors on this car and she saids she doesn't know then I'm like ok . She ask me where did I hear about this and I told her the internet and she said ok I'll check on it . She gives me a call back a few hrs later and tells me there is no such thing for the rotors on this car and I told her I just got them resurfaced at 31k when my tranny went and she said that there a 12000 mile warranty or 12month crap and tonite I think well my car only has 41k miles on it so is shes just trying to jerk my ass around . Later on she ask me when was the last time i got my allignment done and I'm like um.....that might be the problem but still these are crappy rotors and shit then later on she tells me its $240 to get them turned and to get new pads or some shit and i'm like :shakehd: she then tells me that she'll get the tech to drive it tommrow and see if theres any problems . So guys I know I've seen it around here somewhere the Service bulletin for the rotors ....where is it thanks

There are being @ssholes...my dealer didn't ask anything when they resurfaced mine. They knew it was a problem, so they just took care of it.

My dealer didn't ask any questions and then just REPLACED the rotors and pads for free. I'm over my warranty so they had me chip in for labor.

You're dealer is really cool then...most places I've spoke to resurface them twice before they replace them.

I guess after the service lady thought about it she said they will replace my rotors under warranty .....I dunno what changed her mind then I was happy and i said that there was a Service bulletin and the # was 01017 and she had this surprise look like how in the hell did i know that anyways it didn't matter b/c im getting new ones b/c they said that it was only 10k miles since i got them resurfaced and that they shouldnt be doing this so there just going to give me new ones As for my electrical system no luck ! they ordered a new altanator for the car and there hoping that its the problem hopefully they'll know soon .

Man, people are STILL having problems with this?

haha, well a printed TSB 01-017 for the brakes shoved into their faces works best and gets the job done!

Yup, been there had to go through it. At first the tech didn't seem sure about my problem, as if it were a oddity with just my car. I brought up the symtoms first just to see what the tech would say, then I told them that I had read about a TSB. Then the tech seemed a whole lot more customer friendly and helped me out. Ya know sometimes the dealers just try to see what they can get away with, so you gotta prove to them that you know what the hell is going on.

I got screwed 2 times. I took my car to my dealership where I purchased the car from. They turn around and ask me if I ever had the brakes done, ever. I told them no. They found that my pads are eaten away to the point of about 1 month left. Because of the pads being eaten away that much my dealership refused to warranty the work. I even told them about the TSB. They told me that they would warranty the work but not with that much wear on the pads. I even asked them if the warped rotors would have caused the pads to deteriorate so fast. Their response was that warped rotors only make the steering wheel shake WTF , I know that is total BS.

So tehn I take my vehicle to my local dealership and they give me the EXACT same BS. I told them about the TSB and if warped rotors cause the pads to prematurely wear. Still NO.

Now what I need is the name and address to where I send my letters to.

Jens, do you want to help me out here. I have a slight rotor problem at 14k with my 03 Cl-S, and I was wondering if they refuse to resurface my rotors under warranty, if I can show them this TSB, even though it only applies to 2001 Cl-S, but I thought the rotor and brake components are the same for a 2003 Cl-S as well.
