I just got my car back from the body shop and now my lights dont flash and the horn dont beep when you arm the alarm. I also noticed that the little red alarm light on the door isnt lighting up. not sure what they did but it was working when it went in. any ideas will be great

Do the doors lock when you arm the remote?

 

yeah the doors lock and unlock w the remote. theres no light flash or beep when you arm. the lights flash twice when you unlock the doors like its supposed to.

 

might be a sensor.... the alarm will not arm if any of the doors, the hood or trunk are open.

 

yeah this sux its gotta be the hood its the only thing that doesnt have an indicator light on the dash . nothing else is showing open

 

Sit in the car
Close the doors
Arm the alarm
Wait a bit
Pull the hood release

If the alarm doesn’t sound then they didn’t hook up the sensor.

Repeat to check the trunk.

 

good idea thanks. i think ill do it right now in fact just to piss off my neighbors and relieve some stress. Im a terrible neighbor

 

yeah i am a terrible neighbor too. i got the cops called on me for shooting mortars towards my neighbors house tonight.

 

May I ask what kind of work was done to your car at the body shop? Just want to it has something to do with it.

 

my girlfriend backed into the drivers side quarter panel and scratched it all up and dented in the wheelwell pretty bad. it was about 1500 to get it fixed
