I have written many posts here about my tire problem, but not with complete info. Here is the facts, and now i need some advice for my next set.
First off:
I drive the car agressively, hard cornering, not on all turns but on some. I accelerate pretty fast most of the time, and VTEC like 3-10 times a day.
1st set of tires...Stocks that come on the car:
I wear them out completely at 10,900....but was told they were to worn at 8800 miles to get them rotated. The backs had almost all treadwear left.
2nd set of tires...Stock size Continental ContiExtremeContact A/S:
I get these wheels on and get a balance and alignment. I take it to Acura a 1,000 miles later for an oil change and tell them my tire problems, and ask them for a suspension check. I am informed that I would know if there was a suspension defect, because I would feel the car not handling well around the bends, which it felt the same as always. He checks the suspension anyways says no problem...So hear is the story with the second pair of tires:
put em on at 10,900
rotate at 12,900
rotate at 14,900
So original front tires are back on the front again.
I am currently at 17,563 miles, and the fronts have probably 30% tread left. I will rotate this week, and expect to go to 20,563 miles. Then I will rotate again, and just wear out the fronts until they cant be driven any more so probably about another 2,000 miles. So I will probably get about 11,000 miles out of these tires....that is just not enough!
What tires do you suggest for better than stock performance and outstanding tread life...Also next time should I do a tire rotation schedule of every 5k?
Thanks guys.

i have michelin pilot sport ps2, very good handling and tread wear, they are the same tires they put on the Mclaren SLR and other exotics
well last thing is they cant be too expensive.

Are they wearing evenly? or do they have spots on the tires that have more wear then the other?
They are wearing evenly, just the corner tread on each side is wearing a tad faster due to hard cornering.

If they are wearing evenly then it is not the suspension or alignment problem. Maybe it is the driver Originally posted by Renegade

I currrently have Yokohama ES100 235/40/18. It has less than 5/32 thread depth left after just 1500miles. I was trying to find the best way to launch.
