yep got the same problem. they changed the weatherstripping to no avail. i told them last time i thought it was the rear windshield molding or something like that since i got that info off of this site but they didn't listen. so i'm bringing it back in again.

Best case: You have a damaged or ripped rear window seal or trunk gasket

Worst case: The car was damaged from the rear and not repaired properly.

Whatever it is it wasn't done by me...

The trunk is practically empty at all times...I'm going to take it to the dealer as a warrenty issue.

Carfax came up clean on this vehicle, I purchased from Infiniti dealer(not that carfax is %100 fool proof)

yeah, i have heard of that a lot with rear end accidents. Make them fix it, flip out and tell them that you purchased a tv or stereo equipment and it got wet. Give them a reason to be scared and fix it. Whats the point of having a trunk when you cant put shit in it while it rains.

You live in my area...who'd you take your car to? I've heard not so nice things about Radley, and good things about Tischer.

What's the deal w/no loaner car from Radley?

i actually am getting a loaner tomorrow from Radley. only been there once and of course the leak wasn't fixed properly. they should have checked the rear seal instead of the weatherstripping. but oh well. this leak has compounded into other problems (amp getting wet) . never tried Tischer yet. you have any luck there?

Yeah... What they all said...

Best thing to do befor you go to the dealer for a fix. Get in the trunk with a flash light, CLOSE the truck like normal and have someone wet the car heavily with a hose. Dont force it into the cracks, but make it like a rain storm. Then you will find out where it is leaking. Some places will some wont go that far to help yopu out.

But my guess is if you dont see ANY BODY WORK on the car, then you need to reset the rear glass.

Carfax is a load of crap IMO.

I did $6k of damage to the front of my CLS, accident reports and everything files.

It does not show up on carfax...

the post above mine is what I would do too...

At least you don't have a 'Siggy Trunk'.

I'm well aware that the above comment makes absolutely no sense whatsoever..

Carfax is crap. i have never heard of some ones accident being reported. when I was rearended it didnt show up on my old car. it really makes me angry how they advertise like it is reliable and worth a shit. For suckers.

Off topic I know but still,

Jim

You may want to check the back seat area around the window to see if anything in there is wet. I had a truck that leaked around a rear light. If anything someone should be able to remove/reseal the window for a fee, if that doesn't correct it then look elsewhere.

Make sure you get it nice and dry in there, dont need any mold growing in the car and causing you to get sick and die. That wouldn't be good for anyone.

Even of Carfax comes back clean, the car could still have been in an accident.

Had a 98 Accord that was in 2 accidents (repaird by Honda both $2,500 in damage). Played around with Carfax one time and it came back clean.
