So whats gonna replace the CL
Does anyone know if Acura plans to replace the CL with another Coupe?
It seems that coupes are getting harder and harder to find...

The market is going towards sport sedans, and the trend for buying SUVs (which a portion of them should be called SAVs like the X5) makes the coupe market very competitive.
Honda will need to rethink their strategy for the market of upscale coupes, where it will clearly compete with RWDs (G35, 350Z, 330 Ci, etc.), and separating more the Acura brand from Honda, where the letter H should be taken from the Acura car in their parts or Honda Lease Trust changing name to Acura Financial Services (like Inifniti does) IMO.

i wouldn't be surprised if acura comes out with a new mid-priced sport coupe with models that include a convertible. with the market that acura is competing in, it's going to be where they step to the plate and show the other companies what's made them a reputable company, or they back down and let the other companies win
Nissan's got the 350Z with a convertible,
Infinity has the G35 (who knows if it'll ever be avialable with a convertible in the future)
Mazda of course now has the RX-8
Mercedes has the CLK
BMW has the 330ci
so there's some stiff competition out there, but i have faith in acura to step to the plate and come up with something that will be kick ass. give it a year or two. Who knows maybe they have something that we dont' know of that they are working on.

I am optimistic because Acura showed with the new TL that it dares to move upmarket. That means that a possible CL replacement will be way better than the current offering. And that's a good thing. No V8 needed. Just a high reving 3.5 liter V6 making between 300 and 350 HP. Starting at low $40Ks? No prob if AWD is there and it looks great.
We'll know in about 2 years I am guessing.

acura did that between the 1st gen and 2nd gen CLs, they skipped the 2000 model year.... [/QUOTE
I'll be happy if they did the same again and bumped the HPs another 60 horses to 320hp AWD

BMW, and Infiniti have 'em, and when I go back to RWD that's probably where I'll buy from.
