So my trunk lid can't stay up...and 2 other things

Yeah I've noticed this lately...ESPECIALLY if I'm on ANY kind of an incline. I open the trunk all the way to the top and it just fucking falls down like a limp cock. The fucking thing can't stay erect. The other day I was parked on my homies driveway (like a 15-20 degree incline) and I open my trunk and try to get something out with almost the entire half of my body sticking inside and all of a sudden the trunk falls down on my shoulder with the piece that sticks out in the middle falling into my blade. That shit hurt, that piece of shit! Do you guys have this problem at all??

Another thing, whenever I start my car (usually after sitting for the night or for a few hours), and I put it into Reverse...if I keep the car at a dead stop, the R light dims in and out, and the engine sounds like its going back and forth like it will die. It sounds fucking weird.

Lastly, sometimes when I reverse and start turning, like if I'm leaving a driveway, I hear a "clank" or "clunk" type sound in the back of my car only once. What the fuck is it??

Any help would be appreciated.

`John

My trunk lid has ALWAYS been pretty limp-dicked also. The addition of the spoiler made it even worse.

Now it barely pops up at all, but I think it just needs some treatment on the rubber seals because they are getting kinda dry. Mine does stay up though if I push it all the way back.

guys, there are 2 settings for the trunk rods. 1 for no spoiler, 1 for with spoiler.

the with spoiler setting helps the trunk pop open and stay open more.

is it when you hit the brakes while slowly rolling backwards? if so it's the brake calipers and it's normal.

yea I suppose...I mean I just pull out normally, like 2-5 mph and it just makes that clank sound. So that's normal eh?

matt I've never heard of this before.... i was always under the impression that OEM spoilers came with a new tension bar to solve the added weight problem. Where do you adjust the setting you mentioned?

you adjust the tension bar with a Special Acura Tool..

All you do is climb in the trunk and slide the bar back to the other setting... climb in there, you will see it on both sides... the tool from your acura dealer will do the trick...

Contact Chikai on this Forum, he has the tool...
