SO it's official warped the DBAs

so I've had the DBAs on the car now for 30000kms and all was well... beat the shit outta them like nobody's business and they held it down when I needed it.

but today i noticed a slight movement in the wheel and sure enough when I hit the brakes the wheel does the lil wobble. (saw the wheel move a week ago too after I got back the car from the crash) but i dunno i think it got a lil worse or something. or that I noticed it now it's more evident.

Maybe the crash bent the rotor a hair and now it warped from heat? who knows

So I need new rotors sometime preferably soon but dunno where to turn.

I may just get the DBA's again.

think that collision my car was in on the right side may have slightly bent the rotor??? doesn't take much i would imagine.and the rim was pulverized

Sorry to hear, but glad you're ok. Maybe you can try resurfacing the rotors?

Around here I can get them turned for 5-10 bucks each.
At 10 bucks each it would not hurt trying to get a pair done.

the normal ones... 4000 i believe... others are not available for the CL.

I'm thinking I'll just buy another set and keep these ones(with pads) so if I feel like tracking it or w/e then I can.

as of Sept 7th I will have 2 hoists at my disposal so all local AZINERS feel free to gimme a PM if you need to work on your car yourself or... need some help.

You sure something in the suspension isnt causing the wobble? I'm not sure of what the amount of damage from the accident was, but are you sure its not related to that?

yea when i got the car back it was all mintttt... i had a lil wobble in the wheel but that was cause they didnt balance the new wheel right. so I got that balanced and it was mint.

last week has been 30s and UP. and I was doing a lot of driving. and I took apart my calipers/padsoff today and noticed my inside pads were both kinda stuck between the shims. they were not moving freely at all. so that in combination with the heat. made it too much for too long i'm guessing and slowly warped the rotor.

I got everything back together, sanded the pads, lubed up the shims and still no dice...

so it's the rotors... either it's the one thing i did not check/do (remove the rotor and clean the hub) but I doubt it.... and then it's down to new rotors.

SO what BBK should I get then folks.

I don't wanna break the bank.

I wouldn't say that rotors are a "BBK", but if i were you i would go with Stoptech drilled & slotted

Drilled and slotted is a waste of money. Hell my first setup on carbotechs was a set of stock rotors with carbotech pads, and they were pretty good, but it was more of a road racing setup.

Best setup I ever used on my civic was Slotted rotors, and carbotech pads.

it was a strictly race setup though.

cheaper to buy rotors every year than a BBK. for sure

^^^ that is what i will do if my next attempt fails.

I got the drilled and slotted 4000 DBSs with nappa Adaptive one pads.

I told the place I got them from JRP(Johnson Research and Performance) that they warped and they didn't believe me lol. but after i told them the symptoms etc. they were like , "wow, we'll give u a deal on the next set"

So I paid 376 with taxes I believe for just the rotors, and then another 120 on the pads.

He said in stock they have the EBC greens and the slotted ONLY DBAs... he said they are less likely to warp also. so I think that is my route for now guyz.

the price is pretty good... especially compared to before.
