So im going to the auctions on wends.
And I am going to try and pick up a 2001 cl. Since it is an auction you are kinda going into it with out knowing what the car may need.
Are there any know problem parts on these cars? Or anything to look at specifically?
Thanks

on to the next one...
Transmissions are known to be bad on Automatic CL's, sometimes needing two or three replaced before 100,000 miles, However, the work is under warranty up to 100,000 miles. Definately read that part of the second generation discussion to gain a better understanding.

Report back, even if you don't end up getting one.

my last update last week said 11-13 for mint cars. I found the details on the one my buddy got for 12.9. It's a 02 w/ 26K full maintnence records and the body is absolutely mint.

Look for any water damage, rust, etc. Also check out parts of the engine bay for signs of an accident like different color jams, suspsension parts that seem new, etc. Check for any leaks. Make sure all the electricals work.
I got my First Gen at auction and saved about $3K as a result. It took a couple months though to find one that was in tip top shape and I still ended up replacing a tranny, but at no cost to me luckly.
