Yes, you guys are all evil. :p

I would also have ordered an Icebox but I'm having a very tough time finding a shop that has a Comptech supplier (up here in Canada).

Good start. PM one of the vendors to see if they can get you an Icebox. That's probably your best bet.

Good luck and enjoy.

I thought about that but I am very uncomfortable knowing I will have to pay an unknown amount for customs. I'd much rather get it locally. Furthermore, I have family in Pennsylvania and could always have the unit picked up there.

It really shouldn't be that much of a problem. PM one of them and just inquire about it. It won't hurt.

You're right - it shouldn't. But it is, and it's out of the vendors' control. My friend just ordered a 100$ steering wheel and had to pay 220$ worth of customs fees. I don't want to have to worry about that.

Custom, duties, and tax are hefty... Thats the reason I bought locally, all priced in, and no hassles of unknown fee cost.

I hope I'm not going to regret it. I've seen pics and love the wheelgap-less look.

I just hope the ride won't harshen too much, nor be bouncy on stock struts. From what I read, neither of those concerns will occur, so I hope I read right!

What is this Icebox everyone is so fond of? Is it a box modified or is it a CAI or Short Ram?

It's a CAI, but it looks like the stock airbox. Do a search, you'll find tonnes of threads about it! Oh and by the way, it's the best performing intake for the CL-S giving 14whp (and outperforming the AEM, not only in power, but also in build quality). Some may argue it's only downside being that is sounds stock.

Has anyone gotten numbers with it? If it still looks like a box I bet I can achieve the same thing thru swiss cheesing... and i'll get sound. I'm going to look at them though, lets see.

The comptech dealer in Toronto is woodbine acura. Their prices are fair but if you search around you might be able to get some better deals. If you want to order things from the states you need to find a vendor who is willing to ship to you via usps ( its generally a little more expensive then ups) and to have it marked as either a gift or reduce the value of the items. I have had this done numerous times and havent had any problems thus far. I have someone who may be willing to work with you so if you are interested shoot me a PM and I can provide you with the info!

I'm gonna double-check to see if any local Acura dealers can order them first, and if not, I'll shoot you a PM!

haha please try...

this is comptech's design and does give real gains, not just the sound of a beehive that can be given by removing resonators
