So I finally got around to figuring out what the cold air intake on my car is...
I got my car a few months ago slightly used (6K miles). I have been too lazy until recently to figure out what brand the cold air intake the previous owner put on was. Anyway, it's AEM. Does anyone else have this one? Any general thoughts? I do have the stock intake as well, just in case I need to take the car to a dealer and don't want to listen to their BS.

yeah a ton of people on this board have AEM. I have one. they give a small hp gain over stock, but their appeal is mostly in the sound at vtec. The comptech icebox might give slightly better gains (1-2hp more at most), but the sound is almost the same as stock.
most dealers won't care about an aftermarket intake. at least thats what I have gathered from other posts...haven't brought mine back to the dealer yet since I bought it.

yep, me too. traded in my mustang gt for the cls. gotta say the cls sound with the aem kicks the mustangs ass...in sound that is. nice and clean but still it has some muscle in it....not that crappy civic sound or anything.
and the stock sound is pretty much the same volume, at a different note. it was higher pitched before. more of a 'scream' than a 'growl' I guess
