snow tire performance

I recently put my set of blizzaks on for the winter. They are much softer compared to my yokohamas, but i notice a lot of swaying in the car from side to side, i was wondering if this was normal or if anyone felt this. i realize they are a much higher profile tire and softer rubber. But the base CL and TL come with 60 series tires, do they feel the same? The tires are properly mounted and balanced, just came from the dealer last week.

I am sure this is normal, just wanted to see if anyone else noticed.

Oh yeah soft tire, and side walls are alot less stiff as well, you get used to it in about a week.

ps: Be sure not to drive to aggressive with the blizaks on, thay dont like it.

it is normal, and that swaying is why blizzak's don't make mercedes benz approved tire list, it seems that it upsets the stability control, michelin artic alpin are a good tire

It’s actually much better if the car has lowering springs and Sway Bars.
I know with the BLIZZAK’s installed, my Comptech equipped 6-Speed handles much better then my 2001 unmodified Auto did.
Still much different then the summer tires of course, but it feels “safer” then before.
I still drive like a PUSSY when they’re installed though so I don’t chew up the tread.

I always described it as akin to dancing in big floppy clown shoes.

thanks for the feedback guys. I figured it was normal, go from one extreme to the other with the summer and winter tires, but i will take all the swaying it wants, because those blizzaks grip in the snow like a champ.
