Took my parents out for dinner, after that I went down 4th street and this Mustand GT stopped by at the light. There were 4 people in that car and they were laughing their asses, pointin' and starin' so I got really pissed. I turned to my mom, "can I? just this time?" and she gave the thumbs up.

Was kind've surprised, anywho I left it at D and gave him a little rev. Light turned green, wheels peeled out and I left his ass in the dust. Victory of the day...

Yeah, I didn't think the CLS came in Aegean until 03 (or maybe 02) but I'm positive is didn't come in 01.

 

I have Agean Blue, and mine is 2001.

If you beat a 99-Up mustang from a light with 4ppl in your car that is definately impressive, however, unlikely.

Dont expect the same result everytime you pull up to a GT.. =)

Sorry for my first post being in the Kills section... I didnt see a newbie forum for signing in... My GF just got a 99 CL so I was just perusing the forums to see whats up... It's a 3.0 and pretty damn cool.

 

there was mustang next to me one time, and my lane was about to end,we were ata red light, he also had his girlfriend next to him, but for some reason, i was able to pass him and moved on to his lane his lane, it was atleast a 2000 V8 mustang, and he let me passed him. i have a 99 2.3 cl, but he prolly thought it was a 3.2 or something, people see my car and think its a 3.2, even they don't make 3.2 for my year. but even so, why would buy a V8 mustang, if you're not going to race, especially when your girlfriend was sitting next to you. I could understand if it was a new car and he was breaking it in , but it wasn't.

 

poor guy doesn't know yet. Maybe homeboy wasn't racing BECAUSE his girlfriend was in the car. Sadly, not all girls are into high speed racing at stop lights. I know, it was shocking for me to find out too, but it really is true. The world would be a better place if it were otherwise, but it isn't so.

the cl type has 260 stock, i've seen a supercharged one, and other modifications that bump it up to 400 hp, perhaps with that, and a little gearing, it prolly would keep up to a corbra.

I have a blown CL-S6 with a few other minor things and it still won't run with an '03 Cobra. About the only hope I would have is trying from a 60+ MPH roll. Even then I would still see tail lights.

Now when my other items are finished (custom IC, more boost and tuning the e-Manage) I may be able to run with a stock '03 Cobra. But then again, with mods, the Cobra is well out in front.

 

Ignore those statements from a 16 year old; his parents obviously deprived him of nourishment during early development.

However, a blown J32A2 (3.2L VTEC V6) can and will make that power. But FWD makes the application difficult.

 

the stang and the cl-s are running mid to high 14s stock, but i luv dat feeling of beating people who swear that they have the fastest cars, oh and its even better if they when they have a cute girl with them, kinda reminds me of that fool in the fast and the furious with that ferrari.

 

doesn't matter what car you got, or how fast it is, its all good becuase it still takes your ass to places.

I live in Towne Lake Hills East and my office is near Barrett Pkwy and 41 so I am always around the area. Heck, I pretty much have grown up around here attending HS and College locally.

What color is your Cobra which I would love to check out?? I would also be curious how much you would pull on me on a 3rd gear pull. My 1st gear has become worthless and 2nd is near its limits and beyond when really cold out. The limitations of FWD... :o and am working on more power; a machine shop in Marietta is welding up the intercooler core to the custom plenum. Then it will be time to visit Dynolab for tuning.
