.... I wasn't in my car. My friend let me drive his 00 Z28 A4 home from Atlantic City. I'm on the Garden State Parkway where there are only 2 lanes and this black M3 is ahead of me weaving in and out of traffic. I caught up to him just as we approached a toll booth. I had EZ pass, he didn't. I wait for him to pay and he guns it out of the toll booth where you have to basically merge into one lane as the other lane was full of slow moving cars. Needless to say, it wasn't much of a race. I put like 6 car lengths on him and stopped at 75 mph. Moved over to the right lane to let him pass and he gives me a peace sign. I gave have him a thumbs up. The Camaro is basically stock except for Borla exhaust I really want an LS1 for a second car to mod and take to the track. Too bad the build quality is so poor. The damn thing sqeaked and rattled the entire way home!

 

Thos newer LS1's are nice, esp. compared to the older Z's..they can PUUULL...the only LS1 I have driven is in my dad's 00 C5...I love that car, but I get even less respect in that than I get in my TL, more ppl tailgate, park close etc.

 

just out of curiousity...what exactly is a Z28 A4? no doubt about those LS1's i like them myself, hell it took $2000 worth of mods to my CL just ride side by side with them...but since ive got gas now, most of them i pass....except for the one's w/ mods....i have run one w/ headers and exhaust though.....otherwise nice cars to fix up and make very very fast

 

A4 = 4 speed automatic

 

my friends 2000 z28 ss ran a 13.38 with intake and weighting in at 3900lbs /thats with system take it out 13.1 13.0 cars are fast

 

Your friend has a system that weighs around 400lbs?!
