Smoked a CL type S badly
Well this was a bittersweet win for me. Cuz I basically smoked my own car pretty badly. I was cruising on the highway a couple of weeks ago (it was a highway not a freeway so it had stop lights every couple of miles), I'm driving my bone stock wrx wagon. In my rear view mirror I see some hid's coming up fast as it gets closer I notice that its a cls. He pulls up next to me, paces me for about 1/4 of a mile then guns it to the next light. I had been wondering what the wrx would do against a cls so at the light I start reving on him next to me. He looks at me and nods. The light turns green and we both launch. He loses a lot of tire on the launch. I launch pretty hard. I'm pulling on him pretty hard through all gears. By the time i'm in mid 3rd gear i've gotten about a 5-6 car lead on him. I let off @ this point knowing that I'll keep pulling because the wrx is really strong in mid to high 3rd. I was pretty happy with the kill but sad @ the same time.

Its Subaru's new turbocharged 227 hp. sedan or wagon. All wheel drive. It's a performance Impreza i'm guessing. And blx has the wagon.

the wrx vs. type s race would be a little less lopsided if it were a rolling start (where the wrx didn't have a chance to spool up the turbo and dump the clutch in 1st) but standing start/full boost runs are definitely the wrx forte, to say nothing of changing directions rapidly...

Clutch drops don't seem to work as well, the car bogs when you just dump the clutch.
