Word! I got smoked by one too. I was driving home with my buddy in his modded A4 when I see the angel eyes coming quick. I figured another 325 or 328 but as he passes I see the pipes Well my buddy highbeams me letting me know it was an M and I hit my hazards to acknowledge...well the M3 flashes back (I guess he thought I wanted a piece) so I catch up and we merge onto a new highway (two lanes). once we get through traffic I got in front I gun it and the M3 stayed inches from my ass. I switch over and he just blows by me! Awesome display of power! I let off early because my woman started getting mad (too many tickets for me) but I don't think it would have helped much! I want one!

The New M3's ave pretty quick and lok awesome. I'm waiting at least 2 more years before I trade in my Cobra for one. (Unless a supercharged Saleen finds its way into my driveway).
Until then I'll just continue to walk them whenever the opportunity arises. I usually get a look like this from the M3 drivers after I'm done playing- too bad I'd rather be driving their car home.

No and Yes to answer your questions (I know it was directed elsewhere but I had the same response). In BMWs case some of their cars have the style/performance/design I like. quality might not be great but probably isn't terrible (maybe expensive).

I recently had a run-in with an E46 ///M3 on the highway. My car is no highway assasin. He was behind me (two lanes, I'm in left) and got into his powerband before me. I had a car in front of me. As he passed on the right I floored it and walked right up to his bumper and had to let off.

I see him do the right lane passing thing again and follow behind. This time nobody gained or lost ground.

Then he started driving on the shoulder and rice weaving. That's when I decided to let him play by himself. I really wish I could've started from a stop with him.

Pretending that commuting traffic is a set of autocross cones to weave in and out of. Never signaling and endangering everyone on the road. :thumbsdn:

whatever...you don't need to check with me. but, you sure make yourself come off as an idiot, spewing out generalizations with the word rice. what would be the difference between driving recklessly and your definition of rice weaving...can a mustang or camaro rice weave (especially since your european M3 can), or are they wheat weaving? if it's the latter please enlighten us with your explanation on that.

Generalization? If an asshat like the driver I ran into, fits my definition of a ricer then I'm guilty. I group all those idiots together and wish they were off the road.

none

can a mustang or camaro rice weave (especially since your european M3 can), or are they wheat weaving?
Yes they can.
Never heard of wheat driving.

if it's the latter please enlighten us with your explanation on that.
Why waste anymore time on this idiocy.
We obviously have conflicting refrences toward the term.

back to the original topic. Those e46 m3's ain't shit. I've smoked quite a few of them on the highway and from a stop. I take great delight in showing them my taillights.

There not shit..depending on what you drive. When I'm not my Cobra I'd think twice about messing with an E46.

I must say, I do get a the highest possible level of satisfaction wen I beat a new M3.

Well if style and performance is what you want then you want German not Japanese...(sure there are some Jap cars that are fun to drive...I think I can only name 2).

German cars are historically knows to have electrical problems, so I can't argue there, but if you overlook that then the German cars are one hell a fun car to drive compared to 98% of the Japanese cars we have here.
