Sluggish/fat feeling car

I gave a friend (who also has a CL-S) a ride in my car. He said it felt heavy and sluggish... I have (i dont know how many pounds of) stereo stuff in back (check the sig). Anyone else have stereo stuff that makes their car feel heavy? What kind of gas mileage are you all getting? I get about 20 mpg average.. Maybe i should get the rid of the stereo for better performance..???!?!?!?!

The CL-S is somewhat of a mini-barge. ~3500lbs I believe. I could certainly see how your buddy could make that comment, especially if you're loadded down with stereo stuff...

Maybe if you drove faster and took the turns a little tighter? What does he drive?

Man ... that's a lot of stereo equipment! If you don't race, seems like the sounds are worth it.

Rims
Stereo equipment
Actuator broken
A/C on
Humidity/Temperature
Full tank of gas vs 1/4 tank

All of those will add to a sluggish feel compared to optimal conditions, or compared to another CLS without the weight.

I'm thinking it's not your stereo but maybe your wheels... at most 3 JL10s in a box would way 100 lbs? and that's stretching it a LOT... stereo isn't THAT heavy when you use 10s... once you start putting in 12s and 15s the magnets weigh a lot more (for the same competition quality it seems that you're getting)
