Side airbag light

Recently, my side airbag light has been blinking on and off when I am cruising at highway speeds. There is no one sitting in the passenger seat. About a month a go, I had the UR pullies installed. Do you think that may be causing the light to go on? I can't think of anything else that might be causing this. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is there anything in the seat? The sensors pick up things that may become a projectile in the case of a accident. Anything in the seat can cause the light to come on.

Speaking of FAQ, where is it? The link at the top for it is gone!

A co-worker has an RSX with a similar problem. Hers goes on when cornering if there's nobody sitting on the pass. side. If there's someone sitting there, the light doesn't go on. Isn't that weird?

side airbag light

I carried a little TV on the passenger seat one day and the light came on. I did try to wrap the seat-belt across the TV... that sensor is trick - quite smart!

I didn't leave anything on the seat and the light still went on. I made an appointment at the dealer. The light hasn't flashed now in 2 days. Knowing my luck, the problem won't repeat itself when the dealer looks at it.
