There is no problem. The side airbag has a sensor so that if you block the sensor the light goes on and it stops the airbag from deploying and injuring people. It is a safety feature.

Happens to me everythime I got a kid, or small girl in the passenger seat and they move around. Like sit up, or lean over to one side, basically means your sensors are working properly.

It's suppose to turn on at 60lbs. So unless you're carrying around kids, that's above and beyond the thinnest anorexic adult female unless they're midgets too.

Wow, Fries where do you find this stuff? That pic from your fap folder? Gross
Congrats! You are the new king of thread derailing.

But seriously I've always thought that senor was a little over sensitive. If she(a normal girl... unlike the one pictured... if that's even a girl)moves all the way to one side of the seat, or leans forward enough or sits on one leg it turns the light on and it stays lit until she sits square in the seat again. It is annoying and this could possibly keep the airbag from firing?

The sensor is a bit sensitive. It went on the other day when I had an empty growler backpack (holds a 64oz bottle of beer). I bet it weighs maybe a pound at best. Remember, that sensor is why Acura claims that the passenger seat doesn't have a heated back.

I believe it's a dual stage air bag. If the weight is too low it won't fire the airbag. If it's between a certain range, it only deploys the first stage. Above the threshold it deploys both stages. Could be confusing it with a previous vehicle though.
