your best bet is to find someone that's spoilerless w/ the same color car as you and swap trunks...takes about 5 min and both end up gettin what they want. That's how I got a spoiler on my CL...swapped trunks w/ :smitler: before he got rid of his CL.

I thought the same thing when I got my used CLS that came with the oem spoiler, ugh. Tried to find a trunklid swapper, no luck. Even found a used anthracite CL at the dealer but they wouldn't do the swap.
There are 5 holes in the trunklid.
I decided to live with the spoiler, most people seem to love 'em.

I agree with you. The car looks better without the OEM spoiler.

I wish we had more options on the spoilers other then OEM, the m3, m5 spoilers.

Others need to be custom fitted.

Personally, I love my oem spoiler. It took me a while to find someone to trade with, and I'm glad I did. But there's other options than just the OEM, and M5 spoilers. There's also the new Lexus GS400 spoiler that one of the other members installed on his. It looks real good.

Here's a pic of his spoiler. It's from an '06 Lexus GS.

Looks good! Have more pics of it from close up and side view?

It looks like it was molded on or custom fitted?

i believe he did have it custom mounted. It took a lil' bit more than the bit of 3M tape that's required for the m5/m3 lip spoilers.

Its bolted on. The GS trunk has more curve than the CL and I bought a replica spoiler which is harder material so tape would never have worked. I would not have installed this spoiler if I did not have a body kit that extends the bottom bumper, I personaly don't think it would flow as nice.

Tim we should all stop talking about the M3 lip, its the M5 lip the fits our trunk perfectly! The M3 lip is short .....like my GS lip ....... I just owned myself

thanks for the pics! The CL has a beautiful back view (the tail lights, dual exhausts, and the round curves) but the front of the CL(the side view of the head light is ugly)

No offense to anyone though, but I think the headlights from the side view and the whole front-side view of the front is uglyyyy!!!

yes. the m3 lip is definitely too small. good idea to cease all info about it.

but there's no ownage @ all with your car, the curvature of the GS lip looks perfect on the rear of the CL. It might be shorter from side to side, but it gives it a very distinctive look.

Yeah, I'm tired of the oem spoiler too... I thought it was a good idea when I got the car tho'...

I always wanted a red car with parchment interior and a spoiler, so that's what I bought, but after 4 1/2 years, my opinion has changed...

Now I want a Black or Blue 6spd without a spoiler

i love my spoiler OEM YAY, even though at the shop where i got it installed at didnt know where'd it went before opening the trunk lid to see where there were marked holes to be drilled so they marked 4 spots with a drill but it was hidden under the spoiler thank god.

and to add that i bought it off the BM, off a really big part out where everybody got scammed but me, i guess i got lucky?

I'm very glad mine didn't come with a spoiler. I like the simple look.

Besides it's a FWD, really doesn't need a spoiler.

Although the deck lid spoiler adds a nice simple touch.
