My check engine light came on this morning.

It there any way to pull the code without a reader?

On my Nissan, I could get the the check engine light to flash and give the code. Can I do this in my CLS?

Check Codes

I am not too sure about the OBD-II cars (they have their own diagnostic jack), but the OBD-I cars can be jumpered so that the check-engine light blinks a certain way. It's usually a 2-digit number that can be looked up in the service manual.
