Question Should I trade my 2000 TL for a 2003 CL Type-S 6 Speed w/nav?

Ok guys, I love my 2000 TL but I have been given an oppertunity to get a 2003 CL Type-S w/nav.

Here is the deal, my friend works at Mike Harvey Acura and someone traded in a 2003 CL Type-S w/nav. I told him if one comes in, I want it. Of course that was back in 2001. The 2003 is the White Diamond CL Type-S with the 6 Speed M/T. And if any of you guys are interested they are asking 25,500.00. The milage is 32k. The only draw back is the the interior is beige, not black.

What do you guys think? I think he also mentioned it's Acura Certified, which gives an extra year of bumper to bumper warranty. If any of you guys are interested please ask for Mike Chang, I rather he get the commission than someone else, tell him Myron gave teh info about the CL.

Maybe I may have picked it up already by the time anyone here see's it...

Should I or Shouldn't I...I am headed there in 30 min to see it and test drive...

Price is too high in my opinion, but it's got navi, is certified, and is white (the rarest color for the 6spds). The 03 6spds came out in May 02 (??) so this could be a 3 year old car... I paid 29.5K (new) for my 6spd 2 1/2 years ago...

If they can give you a decent price on your TL and lower the price on the CL, it might be a decent deal...

I think the parchment interior looks great with white, but I've got parchment w/ my SMR 6spd (I'm biased)...

I have exact same car....awesome car but 2 things...that price a bit high and paint is the worst I've ever had on a car I owned imo. Not sure about the other colors but my white is a bit below par to say the least.

Yeah thats a little pricey, but any used car is always priced $2k more than what its worth. It gives the dealership wiggle room to make the buyer feel like they got a deal. I say offer them $22k and service for a year and see if they bite.

Agree with others price is high. I had the Taffeta White/ parchment 6 speed CLS No Navi and regretted the color, esp the interior. Sold it a year ago and got my Anthracite/Navi. Not a lot of color choices on the CL but I didn't like the fake wood or the parchment interior. it's up to you. There will always be others, buy what you like.
I'd have to agree on the paint, I never could get it keep as much of a slick shine as my previous Acuras. The white with black interior is a better combo IMO but really rare.

interior pieces can be change to titanium, and i think that would be better looking, i'm with 123456speed, i think the wood is cheesy looking.

its high priced, but a rare combo.

what can you get for your car??

Offer $22.5k out the door (taxes, tags, etc). If they say no, walk away.

I drove it this afternoon around 5pm and it was smooth. I wish I could have both...but I think I will pass. They only offered me 10 for a trade (I got about 85k on the TL), so i would have 10-15k to pay still.

Oh well, I think I will go down again this weekend and drive it some more...just to get it out of my system.

Add me to the list of people that think the price is WAY too high.

I bought my ABP CL-S with 18K miles for 21K $.

I don't have Navi, nor is my car certified, but it's a 4 thousand $ difference for a car that has 14K more miles than mine!

Shop around on the net, pick up a CLS-6 in another state if you must, but it sure as hell will be worth it.

I live in Canada and came down to buy mine in the US because it was a good deal. Do the same, and you'll save yourself lots of $$$.

Good luck!

That dealer looks like a rip off. they have a 2001 Acura 3.2 CL Type-S
Price: $21,335 with 55,000miles.

The price is for people that don't know how to work it...I know personally that is the asking price but they can sell for much less. like I said in my original post, they are asking, not getting that amount for it. My gf got a 03 last year for 22k T/T/L out the door, except it was a non nav.
