Should I just go with OBX SS headers??
My budget is about 800-900 dollars at this point.
For about 538 dollars, I can get a brand new Zex wet nitrous kit with a blow-down tube. That leaves me with just enough money to get a set of new OBX headers for about 330 dollars.
But the question is, should I just hold off on headers for the time being and wait for Stone Racing headers (been waiting since November of 2003) or a used set of Comptech headers for a good price? Comptech still goes for 600-700 used, and I'm not sure if I want to spend that much. I know Comptech is good, but it really is overpriced, not to mention used.
So should I give it a shot with OBX and get headers and nitrous at the same time (fun shit ) or what?

No, like I said in the original post, I think even used Comptech headers (going for like 600-700) are overrated, not to mention that they are used. Hence the reason I'm considering buying NEW OBX headers for 330.

With all the OBX horror stories, just get the Comptechs and forget about it.

There was someone on here that spent more money on the install, then unistall then re-install and ended up buying a set of CT headers b/c the OBX weren't covered under warranty and they had a bad weld..
He spent way over $1,000 on it..
I'd say like everyone else above to get a set of used CT headers..

CT Headers used. I dunno, heard too many quality issues with OBX. Get them Jet Hot coated, they clean them for you. Looks new and whitesilver for the rest of its life.

Mine haven't cracked but I do suffer from that 2500rpm resonance and it makes me mad. But, they were cheap so I don't complain. If I had it to do over I'd go with Comptech though. They both give you the same gains and if you don't mind a bit of resonance only at that rpm then they are a sweet deal. If there is a bad cracking problem then you might want to reconsider but I haven't heard too much about that until now.
then again, I don't read every post about the OBX headers since it just deteriorates into a CT vs. OBX rant eventually.
