should i buy this??????

ive been in the market for a new car and i came across a cls 6spd w/ navi black/parchment and 55,000 miles. my first thought was that i must have this car. it is a little out of my price range but isnt that what credit is for? the dealer is asking 20,900 and i want to get your thoughts on this before i jump into anything... should i buy immediately like i want... should i keep looking for an 02 or 03 auto type s dammit what do i do. thanks for your input guys.

depending on where u live, u should be able to get that car for no more than 19,000... because of the miles.. i just bought my 01 cl type s with 60,000 miles for 10,500 in awesome shape. but it was from an individual.. U wont go wrong with that car.. i had a 99 tl before this one and i love the car more and more everyday.. hard to find a car that makes u feel like that..

from what ive been able to see, cars go for a little more up where ur at than they do deown here. If u wanna hassle em u could hold out for between 18 and 19. The real thing u need to look at tho, that is a rare car.. if it is what u want, dont let a grand or two keep u from gettin it.. If it was me i wouldnt give more then 17 for it down here.. but like i said, cars are cheaper down south,, Buy the thing and u wont regret it.. Good luck.. keep us posted..

Price is a little high, but since it's from a dealer, that understandable... they gotta make a profit...

I was going to ask if you checked autotrader.com, but the car your talking about came up when a did a search within 100 miles of a random upsate NY zipcode (well 2 came up, but one was a black one for 20,900 w/ 55k miles)

If your looking for a black on black one, then it really isn't that hard to find 'em...

There are a bunch of 6spds for sale in the black market here for price comparisions...

Black/Black w/ 29K miles for 19K https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-2003-cl-s-6-speed-black-323764/

Black/Black w/ 15K miles for 23K https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/f-s-03-cls-6spd-w-navigation-15k-miles-332303/

My pick of the week (he's closest to you):

Mr. Steve's ABP 6spd Modded w/ CT items: https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/closed-sale-2003-cl-s-6-speed-58-000-miles-some-mods-%2417-999-a-328651/

All Mine and Ben CL are actively looking for 6spd to repace their automatics so hopefully they'll offer opinions on pricing too...

If there was something out there for new cars that I liked better then my 6spd, I'd sell you mine...

Meh... rare is a subjective term. They made 3511 6spds so there are alot of them out there...

On autotrader alone, there are 99 CLS 6spd listed... for an average price of $20.8K...

Yellow fever is a rare disease, but that doesn't make it desirable

Rare, maybe... Hard to find... Not really... But then again, I've always wanted to open a car locator service w/ my uncle...

Let us say it's hard to find. Divide that number of CL-Ss by the color you want, then divide by the options you want. When you factor it all in they are spread pretty think over the US. There may be more in certain metro areas which makes them even more scarce in smaller town areas. I had to search a while and still drive an hour to find the CL-S I wanted.

If it's the one you want, buy it - period.

If you're looking for a specific color combo w/ navi or without navi, and it you're not looking to travel for the car, then a you'll need to jump on whatever comes up in your local market since you won't have a lot to choice from at any given moment...

Chazz took a train to pick up his white/parchment 6spd yesterday... (I think he want the ebony interior, but at least he got the right exterior color he wanted).

Oh, and the 20,900 is just an asking price... That's the price you start negotiating from...

I've alway been a advocate of spending a little more money IF a car is EXACTLY what you want... If it isn't exactly what you want (or even if it is), you can negotiate the price, saying "I really wanted a color/color combo, but I might buy this one for xx,xxx)...
