If you are into sound quality, the worst thing is buying used speakers. You dont know how the speakers were treated before put up for sale. Buying used amps is also scary. What if the amps work fine at low volume and cut off when you crank it up? You have no warranty to take care of that. For 1400, you can get a very nice new system. Just my $0.02.
