Shortage of CL-S....

recently i totalled my I-30 and been scouting for a 01-03 CL-S ever since. my gf has a 1st gen and i frequently log on to acura-cl.com just to see what's new. but anyways, i live in New Orleans, LA and have been checking the classified, the news on wheels, the steals n deals, and the internet for a 2nd gen cl. there were only 2 within a 100 miles from where i live. so yesterday, i took a trip to mississippi. there was a 01 silver cl-s for $16,700 with 50k miles. i was disappointed in the way the previous owner maintained it. there were plenty of dents and nicks. the door panel was kinda hanging loosely. needless to say, my search will continue.

any advice or comments are greatly appreciated.

Auto-trader is where I found mine, or go to Dealer Locater on acura.com ad put in zip codes for areas you want to search. all dealers in those areas will come up and you can look at their inventory or usually call their 800 numbers. also check newspaper classifieds on the web for area newspapers. there's ots of CLS put there, esp 01s. there's always so,me in the Black Market section here too, I see one in Atlanta now.

Chopper is down in Loiusiana and he's been looking for a San Marino Red 03 6spd. It's alot toughter if you're looking for a specific color on a 6spd, but if you keep looking, I'm sure you'll find one, especially since you're looking for a 01-03. They are out there, it just takes some patience.

Good luck in your search,

Hmmm...

If supply is going down, that means demand is going up, right?

That means resale should be higher.

Good luck with your search!

My anthricite 2003 CL-S 6 speed navi with spoiler and custom powder coated wheels will be for sale probably this time next year. 21,000 miles now, selling at 45,000 miles.

I will not drive anything not in warranty,

Should have leased it. You would have saved alot of $$ You wouldn't have to worry about resale either.

There are a ton of them on Ebay most are 01's.

you are ok to trade it in upto 70k miles after that no acura dealer will touch it, because they cant certify it

I'll sell you mine if your serious, I'm in California though.

'03 Type-S Manual, non-navi, black on black, rear spoiler, clean "perfect" condition, 31k miles....no engine mods whatsoever.

Asking price is $20,000. Well under KBB value, just lookin to get rid of it cause I've had my eye on the Chrysler 300 for a couple of months.

Deal is offered to anyone.
