Shock sensor question?

I'm going to install that shock sensor to the stock alarm. My questions are what does it do? How does it work? Does it work well. So if someone hits my car window, panels what ever it will go off right? How does it do that with out sensors around the car?

Sorry for all the question just a trying to understand.

Thanks

From what i heard on this board, the shock sensor is suppose to detect shock/vibration on ur car and if the shock/vibration existed the deisire sensitivty on the sensor then the alarm kicks in. the shock sensor as mention detects shocks, its like imgaine a pool of water, and u have a little floating duck(shock sensor) if one is to jump in the pool cannonballstyle, then the duck (shock sensor)will start shaking. In order for it to work well, the settings of the sensor has to be ideal, meaning u have to go through trial and error by knocking on glass to find out the best settings. Some memebers have spice the yellow wire and tap two sensors to that wire, then one sensor goes in front and the other in the fuse box
