She's Gone Baby...Gone (trade-in value)
Well, It was time to part ways with my beloved CL-s. I can't say she was the best to me, but I deserved it. I sure did have fun ith the car, but after getting married and hopefully soon starting a family - I needed to make a change.
So I figured you CL-S owners would be interested in what the trade in value was.
My CL-S had the following:
I ended up getting $6,100.
I was thrilled with this consdering I was offered less 12 months ago. And considering I did not have to pay an extra 6% of $6100 , on my new vehicle - It worked out good for me.
So with Gas prices high, I did the econimical thing, and I bought a SUV . To be honest, I only put about 10k miles on a year and it realy isn't a huge deal to me. I have a 3rd car for long trips and my wife has a Jetta, so we do have feul efficient options.
Anyways, its a Black 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee (V8) - what the hell is this flex fuel thing???...It only had 8,800 miles on it with Leather, Sunroof, heated seats, remote start, yada yada yada...I got it for $19k...So the bottom line is that I paid only 19k for a car that fits my needs and has all the same features as the CL-S...minus the Xenon lights, the pickup, and most importantly - I mis the CL-S seats...they were awesome!
I only have a camera phone pic, but here is the new vehicle....My first ebony beauty...

My CL-S had the following:
- 118k miles
- normal wear and tear
- A brand new Tein suspension ( let's not get into it)
- Sirius
- CAI/Headers/03 tails/Greddy exhast, and aftermarket rims - and I can't forget the machined dials and turn signal rings that one of the members sold years back.
- 6 tranny's
- 1 previous accident
- and probably some other things I am forgetting.
I ended up getting $6,100.

The tails were the only things I could of sold - I had already sold all the other OEM stuff.
As for the trans - I have no clue! They just kept going. The last two were a real mystery to me as for the last 3 years I never raced it, never gate shifted, never torque braked... Hence my wanting to get rid of it.
