Hi guys,

My friend just shaved his corolla's trunk, and i started to think of doing the same to mine.

However, i need some help in either encouragement or discouragement form

Can some people please post pics of shaved and unshaved ??? (oh boy, thats asking for trouble!)

 

I think you should shave the 3.2CL TypeS. I personally like it better w/o it. IMO

 

im not into debaging any of that, I dont see why anyone would take the acura symbols out, especially if its a type S.

I can understand some 300 series Beamers debage, it makes you wonder what model they got. But we only have two trims, Type S or not. IMO.

I have seen people debage their escords so people dont think its an escord lol. I would actualy put more bages to show thats its an Acura, since we realy dont have that much of a distinctive looks anyways.

But thats just what I think

Acura, and especially the CL, are the "underdogs" of the entry level luxury divisions...why not leave things alone and either Acura will succeed or they won't. Guys, we have summin to be proud of RIGHT NOW. The most horsepower vs. price WILL NOT LAST LONG. Altima has 240 for crying out loud!

 

Up to you. Here is what I did.

 

This is how I did it...
I started by taking off the 3.2CL and the TypeS
I liked the way that looked and then I took the a c u r a off.
If you dont like it you can always put it back wiht double sided 3M tape (the same thing that held it on).

My car is in the shop now, and I'm having the holes behind the "A" symbol filled in...

 

I did not mean it litterally, im just trying to get my point across.

 

This is exactly what I did (removed 3.2TL TypeS). I think it balances the rear out better since now the only markings are centered (the "A" and A C U R A). Took 5 min. and i think it made a big difference....

 

I took off the 3.2CLS and it looks more even. Very clean now. JMO

 

I would take off " a c u r a" and 3.2cl
I would leave acura symbol and typeS
but my car is a lease, so I don't want to mess with that....

i only shaved the 3.2CL part because it doesn't match the rest of the lettering, looks way better w/o imo.

its a first gen but you get the idea. I ran out right now to take the pics. that and I couldnt wait to try out my new sony p5.

 

I think the back would look much hotter if the Acura symbol was centered. Too bad for those damn holes.

Can you put the logos back on after they are off? I did this to my 300M when I had it, but all the lettering came off in little tiny pieces.

 

Yeah. you can take them off and than just put on some new emblem tape to put them back on. The big A C U R A lettering wont break and the Type S and 3.2 shouldnt if you are careful

Oh did you have the 300M with the rear handles shaved? I remember seeing one around this site somewhere before (or a link to it on this site)

 

I say just take off the 3.2 CL Type S badges

I like the word ACURA on the bottom,

There is a guy with a gold one driving around town who took off everything except for the Type S badge and the big "A" That looks good too.

 

Wasn't me. I only took the chrysler lettering off the sides, & back.
